PLASTER (2026)

on festival circuit

Produced by A Moving Train and written and directed by Tanguy Pichon, Plaster is a short film blending tragedy with absurdity, where grief takes on a disarming, irrational form. Joana arrives at a doctor’s surgery carrying her son’s funeral urn, convinced he is still unwell. Across from her, a doctor caught between empathy and logic must confront what cannot be cured: absence itself.

Set in a boldly stylised, hyper-controlled visual world of clinical brightness and unsettling tenderness, the film moves between uneasy laughter and raw emotion, leading to a small but deeply human act.

Plaster, starring Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Paula Lindblom (The Conjuring: Last Rites), premiered at the BIFA-Qualifying Sunderland Shorts Film Festival and selected at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival, being now eligible for the BIFA. It will also screen at the Short Film Corner at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
